Finding the best massage therapy school to fit your needs is an important part of the journey toward a rewarding career. That’s why there are several factors to take into consideration when choosing your training program.

Choose a Massage School with These Qualities

  • Location: First Institute is located in Crystal Lake, IL and serves students in northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin.
  • Flexibility: We understand that most of our students must maintain their family, work and personal responsibilities. For this reason, we design our class schedules to help you fit them into your busy schedule.
  • Length of program:  The massage program is designed to take approximately 40 weeks to complete.
  • Financial aid: At First Institute, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to further their education. In fact, we will help determine your eligibility and assist you in funding your healthcare career training.
  • Hands-on classes: Our students receive traditional classroom and hands-on training in areas including anatomy, aromatherapy, kinesiology, and reflexology. Students also learn a wide array of specialized techniques, including Swedish massage and sports massage.
  • Career assistance: Our Career Services Department will help you put your best foot forward with advice about job applications, guidance for building an effective resume and effective interview preparation.
  • Is clinical training included? Our students and graduates get real-world massage experience at First Institute’s Healing Arts Center – which offers many of the same services found at salons and spas to the public.
